What does arrival scan mean by ups?

UPS has a very good system in place. At each station, they "scan" the bar code of the package, and it is updated on their central computer for you to log in to see where your package. Arrival scan meant they have scanned this at the arrival destination, and you will find that it is their delilvery station, and out to deliver. Whent he chap delivers it to you, he will scan your signature and once he goes back to the depot, it is uploaded. The recipient then knows who received the package!! Almost a fool proof system....
