Can I bring Extracted Teeth in a preserved container in to US?

I am a foreign dental student studying in U.S. My professor wants us to bring extracted teeth for pre-clinical practice. But I have a dilemma about U.S. Custom rules. Will i be allowed to bring such substance without any problem? Do I have to declare to Custom officers upon arrival in US????
