If your parents are Government officials, does it help to boost your chances of getting a US student's Visa?

I've been granted admission in a college in the US and waiting for the arrival of my I-20. It was sent via airmail and I don't know how long it takes but meanwhile I'm getting ready to visit the US embassy. I already have my Complete and Legal documents including a very strong bank statement but I'm still scared about the visa interview. Having completed all the requirements, does my parents status increase the possibilities of me getting the visa without stress?
